Time for some family saga.Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, this movie needs no introduction. If there was one movie that redefined success in the 90’s, this Bollywood Wedding movie was it along with DDLJ.According to reports, it was the first Hindi film to gross over Rs.1 billion. Although the movie was all and out family entertainer, the story revolved around the love story between the two protagonist characters Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit). Madhuri was elegant, classy and played the perfect Siren in this movie and Salman had to make his way up and earn her attention. However, things took a bad turn and despite their mutual liking, Madhuri was forced to marry Salman’s elder brother. Luckily, help came from an unexpected end and Fluffy (the cute dog in the movie) came to Salman Khan’s rescue and Bhai eventually got her bride back after Madhuri Dixit’s marriage was canceled and she could finally reunite with Salman. Now that’s what we call a Bollywood ‘e’style wedding.

Critics claimed that Hum Aapke Hain Kaun along with DDLJ had increased the strength of cinema-goers by 40 % in the 90’s. The movie had also hit headlines for the 14 songs in all, which was more than what most films of that time had. Didi Tera Devar Deewana, a popular song in the film is one of the longest songs in the history of Bollywood at the time and was of about 8:01 minutes.
